Social Media Intern – Girls Basketball (Remote / Paid / Part-Time)

About the Role:
Vertiq Marketing is looking for a part-time, paid Social Media Intern to support content execution for @PassthaBall, one of the leading grassroots platforms in girls’ basketball. You’ll help build a Gen Z–friendly online presence that celebrates hoopers, highlights, and the culture around the game.

This is a remote, part-time role ideal for a college student interested in sports media, content creation, or digital storytelling. You’ll work closely with our team to source clips, build content in Canva and Capcut, and support weekly campaigns across Instagram, Twitter/X, and TikTok.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source basketball highlights and trending moments

  • Input weekly content (quotes, stats, graphics) into Canva templates

  • Assist with weekly content calendar and campaign planning

  • Brainstorm engagement ideas and social media series

  • Attend 1 weekly virtual check-in with the Vertiq and PassthaBall team

  • Share trend ideas weekly based on the current media landscape

  • Track and organize IG + Twitter performance for monthly review

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • A college student with a love for basketball and digital culture

  • Organized, consistent, and familiar with Canva

  • Tapped into IG, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter)

  • Bonus: experience managing accounts, editing, or working on a media team

 

Tools You’ll Use:

  • Canva (for graphics)

  • Google Drive (for file management)

  • Slack or Notion (for tasks and check-ins)

 

Hours & Pay:

  • 8–12 hours per week

  • Paid monthly stipend - up to $500

  • Internship runs Summer 2025 (with possibility to extend)
