About the Role:

Vertiq is a women-led marketing and creative consultancy that partners with mission-driven organizations to tell impactful, values-aligned stories. We’re seeking a Content & Design Intern to support digital content for one of our Los Angeles–based nonprofit clients focused on women’s health, reproductive justice, and community education.

This is a part-time, supervised role designed for someone who wants hands-on experience in nonprofit digital storytelling, Canva-based design, and content formatting.

What You’ll Be Working On

Under direct supervision, you’ll assist with:

• Designing graphics using a provided style kit, templates, and brand guidelines

• Drafting and editing Instagram captions from provided prompts or long-form copy

• Reformatting educational and advocacy content into IG-friendly formats

• Supporting content calendars and organizing digital assets

• Preparing content for review and approval (no direct posting)

What We’re Looking For

• Strong interest in women’s health, advocacy, or nonprofit work

• Comfortable using Canva (required)

• Strong written communication skills

• Ability to follow brand guidelines and incorporate feedback

• Organized, reliable, and deadline-aware

• Able to work independently in a remote environment
   

Bonus (not required):

• Experience with managing social media content

• Background in communications, marketing, public health, women’s studies, or a related field

Tools You’ll Use:

• Canva (for graphics)

• Google Drive (for file management)

• Slack or Notion (for tasks and check-ins)

Role Details

• Time Commitment: ~8–10 hours per week

• Compensation: Up to $500/month stipend, based on experience and scope

• Location: Remote (U.S. based - Los Angeles, CA or Cincinnati, OH Preferred)

• Duration: Pilot internship (4–8 weeks), with potential to extend

• College Credit: Available where applicable

• Start Date: Mid-February
